School can be difficult enough between homework, tests, and extracurricular activities, but try to imagine how the struggle multiplies for students whose families cannot afford vision care and eyeglasses.  Thanks to collaboration between CVIM and the Eagles Youth Partnership, the Eagles Eye Mobile comes to CVIM twice a year offering free eye care to our youngest patients with vision problems.

On May 13th, the Eagles Eye Mobile made its first visit of 2013 to Community Volunteers in Medicine.  The visit was a huge success as 12 young children in need received free eye exams and, three weeks later on June 3rd, prescription glasses if needed to help them succeed in school and life. The donated services and resources truly change the lives of our young patients who already do without so many daily necessities.

The Eagles Youth Partnership selected CVIM as their first non-educational facility partner based on the services the clinic provides and the overwhelming unmet need for vision care in Chester County.
