CVIM’s 25th Annual Golf Classic will be held at Applebrook Golf Club on June 2, 2026.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we have generated over $6,500,000 through this event over the years! As our largest event each year, CVIM’s Golf Classic helps provide critical funding to care for our patients year-round. 

Steve Fera is Executive Vice President of Public Affairs and President of Government Markets at Independence Blue Cross, where he’s spent 36 years leading business lines, advising government leaders, and championing health equity.

Today, Fera oversees IBX’s nationally recognized Medicare Advantage plans, public affairs, government and community relations, corporate giving, and the company’s $140 million charitable foundation and Community Health Institute. Through strategic partnerships and innovative programs, he’s expanded access to care for underserved communities across the region.

Fera brings a community-first approach to the intersection of health care, public policy, and social impact. He serves on multiple boards including the Police Athletic League, Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, University of Pennsylvania Health System Corporate Council, and St. Joseph’s University Haub School Board of Visitors.

He’s been recognized by the Boy Scouts, Salvation Army, and March of Dimes, and named to City & State PA’s Pennsylvania Power 100 and as a 2025 Impact Icon.

Fera holds BS and MBA degrees in finance from St. Joseph’s University.
